Country Boys Keep Rollin’

Country

Inspiration

I wrote Country Boys Keep Rollin’ because my brilliant nephew who is a musical savant challenged me to do so. The idea for the song hit me that while city folks enjoy the morning, country boys are the ones making it happen.

[Verse 1]
City lights, they’re burnin’ bright, but city slickers sleep through the dawn,
Suits grab lattes, livin’ high, don’t know where it’s from.
I’m up at first light, workin’ this land,
Raisin’ beef, growin’ wheat, with callused hands.

[Verse 2]
Haulin’ hay in the pourin’ rain, fixin’ fences at night,
City folks chase a screen’s glow, but we’re out here livin’ right.
Brandin’ cattle, fightin’ drought, it’s the life that we choose,
Every seed that we sow grows the heartland’s truth.

[Bridge]
They don’t see the sweat, don’t know the cost,
But every bite they take, we’re the ones they forgot.
From the pasture to the plate, we’re the backbone, it’s true,
We don’t need your gold, got this dirt in our soul.

[Outro]
Yeah, we keep on rollin’, sun up to sun down,
Country boys, heartland proud, we’re the roots of this town.
Keep rollin’!

[Chorus]
Country boys keep rollin’, through the mud and the grind,
Sowin’ seeds, raisin’ steers, fuelin’ America’s minds.
No trophies, no praise, out here workin’ the plains,
Country boys keep rollin’, they don’t know our names!

[Chorus]
Country boys keep rollin’, through the mud and the grind,
Sowin’ seeds, raisin’ steers, fuelin’ America’s minds.
No trophies, no praise, out here workin’ the plains,
Country boys keep rollin’, they don’t know our names!

[Chorus]
Country boys keep rollin’, through the mud and the grind,
Sowin’ seeds, raisin’ steers, fuelin’ America’s minds.
No trophies, no praise, out here workin’ the plains,
Country boys keep rollin’, they don’t know our names!
