A Real Man
A Real Man
Inspiration
A Real Man speaks to the narrative that a man isn’t needed. But a real man is not only needed, he’s absolutely necessary. I wrote the song about his need for his family, but it’s a metaphor for America. Our country needs real men.
[Verse]
They say the world’s got rules for men
But what’s a man if he should pretend
He’s strength
He’s care
His heart beats loud
Standing tall
Yet humble
Proud
[Verse 2]
He fights for love
Not just for show
Keeps it real
Lets the wisdom flow
Breaks no hearts
But mends the broken
A vow of truth is always unspoken
[Bridge]
Some call it toxic? I call it raw
Loyal to his flaws ’cause love ain’t a law
He builds a kingdom
Never tears it apart
Society may label
But it can’t touch his heart
[Chorus]
A real man’s more than fists or pride
He’s the warmth when his kids confide
A protector in the stormy night
He holds the family’s flickering light
[Chorus]
A real man’s more than fists or pride
He’s the warmth when his kids confide
A protector in the stormy night
He holds the family’s flickering light
[Chorus]
A real man’s more than fists or pride
He’s the warmth when his kids confide
A protector in the stormy night
He holds the family’s flickering light
