Blame Game
Blame Game
Inspiration
I wrote Blame Game because I wanted the world to know that I was on to the hustle. The world deals the cards but shuffles the deck and palms the cards. There are people in the world always looking to blame others for the chaos they create.
They point their fingers, loud and shrill,
Each bitter gripe, each angry quill.
A shouting match, “Who’s worse to blame?”
But the players change, not the game.
[Verse]
Inflation rises, the borders strain,
They howl in protest, they decry the pain.
As if history wasn’t there to tell,
It’s a story we know a bit too well.
[Bridge]
From tariffs to tweets, they rage and repeat,
But the roots run deeper beneath their feet.
Echoes of choices, whispered and spun,
No single hand folds what’s already begun.
[Chorus]
Oh, it’s the blame game shuffle, round and round,
Yesterday’s troubles all tightly bound.
Before him, after, it’s all the same,
A cycle of blame with a different name.
[Chorus]
Oh, it’s the blame game shuffle, round and round,
Yesterday’s troubles all tightly wound.
Before him, after, it’s all the same,
A cycle of blame with a different name.
[Verse]
Could we stop the clamor, pause for a bit?
And see the pieces, how they fit.
Complaints won’t mend the fraying seams,
The patchwork’s ours, with shared dreams.
